Do you travel?

Yes, yes, yes. Trust me - if I weren’t shooting wedding photographs, I would be traveling the globe. I’m completely available to travel to your hometown, or anywhere else in the world you’ve selected for your destination wedding.

The reason I like shooting destination weddings is because they usually involve much more personal time with the couple. And since these weddings often have fewer guests, there’s a lot of space for individual personalities to stretch out.

Who should retain you as a photographer?

I enjoy working with anybody who recognizes the value and importance of photography and who appreciates the craftsmanship and detail that goes into the products I provide.

I work best with people who are lighthearted and like to laugh a lot. Bonus points for goofiness. My mother has taught children since I was a child myself, and she is constantly running around at the light-speed of a 5-year old hopped up on Pixy Stix. This is the environment in which I was raised, and this is the environment that feels most like home.

What is your payment schedule?

I require 1/3 payment as a nonrefundable retainer. If an Engagement Session is part of your package, a second 1/3 will be due when any products from that session are delivered to you. In either case, the remainder of my fee is then due no later than a week before your wedding date.

We don’t live near you. How the heck can we hire you for our wedding if we never meet?

I love getting to know all my clients, but face-to-face meetings are sometimes not possible. In these cases, I rely on my experience running a design firm with international clients prior to getting into photography. I spent many years learning how to communicate on a personal level through email and phone, and I’m confident you’ll be at ease with the level of communication I provide. I tend to write much more than is necessary to make sure you know exactly what I’m talking about, and I have an unstoppable grasp on the ol’ English language. (FYI: that’s hyperbole.)

Can you photograph our rehearsal too? Honeymoon? Other moments?

Yes, of course. I love being part of the entire wedding experience. I learn so much about people from simply being around them, and the more comfortable we feel around each other, the better the photographs will be. My larger packages include rehearsal coverage, but it can be added to any package for a nominal fee.

Will you be the photographer at our wedding, or will there be another photographer? Will there be assistants?

I will be the sole photographer at your wedding. Likewise, you’ll deal directly with me throughout the entire process, from initial contact to after your wedding.

Who processes the images?

I do absolutely all of the post-production work on your photographs. Each image is scrutinized and given individual treatment for color balance and contrast. I submit your final, enhanced images to Pictage, my trusted online partner, who then creates your 1st edition prints.

Can you hold a particular date for me?

If you notify me of your desired date, I’d be happy to hold it for up to 5 days. After that, a contract and retainer will be required to hold the date.
