Online Proofing, Ordering, and Sharing
I’ve partnered with the incredible folks at Pictage to provide you with all your proofing, ordering and sharing needs. Pictage is my premiere partner for handling every aspect of your order fulfillment. The Wedding Booth - Mini Portrait Studio
The Wedding Booth is a unique way to document your guests. Using a backdrop of either black or white, the portrait studio is assembled in a 12x12’ space for your guests to pose for formal, but candid photographs. Unlike traditional photo booths, the mini-studio is staffed by a associate trained in lighting and portraiture in order to create elegant, fun portraits of your guests. And new for this year: we’ve spun our Wedding Booth off into it’s own business – so if we’re booked for your wedding day, you can still hire us to provide you with professional portraits of your guests.
Premium, Hand-crafted Wedding Albums
I currently offer three premium grade albums: flush-mount, matted, and fine art.
Fine Art Album
The fine art album is named for the artisanship involved in its creation. Japanese artists shun the luxury of technology and use X-acto knives and straight-edges to hand cut each mat and photograph. The artists then arrange your photos with careful consideration, one image at a time, to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art that you’ll treasure for the rest of your lives. In addition to the craftsmanship, this album is known for the unique matcutting techniques, like the gatefold and fold-out pages, which can’t be found in other albums. This album is for the discriminating bride who wants the highest craftsmanship available, and page features that will wow every person who sees it.
Linen Matted Album
The matted album employs a traditional style that has similar features to the heirloom albums of yesteryear. Each page has physical window openings in which your photographs are permanently mounted. The matting is made from a durable, fine-art paper that is hand-torn to create deckle edge pages. The entire album is wrapped with Japanese bookbinding fabric, and bound with exquisite ribbon from Switzerland. This album is for lovers of classic, elegant design with lots of whitespace, and for those who want the photographs to speak for themselves.
Flush Mount Album
The flush-mount album is a contemporary album that doesn’t involve loose prints. Instead, each page is custom designed by Justin Hankins in a storybook or editorial layout, which permits the use of adding background colors and design elements. (This is sometimes called “magazine style,” since the design is laid out like a magazine.) After the page design is complete, the entire page is printed “at once,” as opposed to printing each photo individually. This means that the entire page is “flush” (hence the name), and you can run your fingers over the page without feeling any textures. This album is for the bride who likes to add a little touch of design to help showcase her images.
Parent Albums
Parent albums (duplicate albums of the same design) may be ordered at the same time as your final album for a reduced rate. This is a great time to order additional copies of your wedding album to hand out as gifts to your parents or bridesmaids.
Custom Guest Books and Coffee Table Books
Guestbooks
The custom guestbooks I offer are huge attention-getters at wedding receptions. I can pretty much guarantee that most of your friends have never seen them. A fantastic opportunity to display your engagement photographs, the custom guestbook is designed like a mini wedding album in which your guests can sign their names and share their regards, directly on the pages. Some couples have called this “yearbook-style.” The book consists of 10 pages (20 sides) of photographs. For up to half of these pages, I fade the images into the page, which allows your guests to sign them. These pages are essentially blank, writable pages with light “watermarks” of your photographs. Finally, the guestbook is bound within a hard cover that is wrapped with a photograph of you. (Hopefully your guests won’t draw devil horns or mustaches on your face!)
Coffee Table Books
Coffee table books are custom-designed hardcover books just like the guestbooks; however, they are not designed to be writable. These books are printed on heavyweight paper and bound with a double reinforced, sewn binding. Several cover options are available from leather to photo hardcover.
First-edition Photographs
Your very own 1st edition prints will be presented shortly after you order them online. You’ll have every customization opportunity available to you: choice of photographic paper, choice of final paper finish, custom cropping options, print sizes up the wazoo, several different border choices, as well as mounting options. Instead of specifying how many different sizes you can purchase, each of my packages includes a credit towards the purchase of final prints - whichever sizes you’d like. Every image comes with a guarantee for 100% satisfaction.
Fine Art Notecards
Fine Art Notecards are the most popular item for my destination couples who want to share their news from afar. Make a personal, sophisticated statement, no matter the occasion. From thank you notes and holiday greetings to engagement, save the date and baby announcements, Fine Art Notecards come in a wide range of design options and are available to suit any style. Folded cards are printed on your choice of gloss, matte or uncoated premium heavyweight paper stock. Cards are fully customizable, with over 100 possible creative element combinations. Notecards are sold in sets of 25 with coordinating envelopes.
Event Cards
I provide all couples with small event cards to be distributed to guests before the wedding (or on the wedding day, itself). These cards contain all the necessary information to enable your guests to register for online viewing of your photographs. Each card features small photographs from your engagement session, and is printed on quality photographic card stock. The cards measure 1.1 inches by 2.8 inches; in size, perfect to include with your wedding favors, thank you cards, or to place at the tables of the reception.
Gallery-Wrapped Canvas Prints
Every canvas is sprayed with a UV coating and meticulously stretched by a professional production team. The standard stretcher frame depth for a gallery-wrapped canvas print is 1.5” thick. Alternatively, you may select a thinner 3/4” frame or a thicker 2½” extra large frame. Floating frames are also available for couples who like the three dimensional look of a gallery-wrapped canvas, but want the added style of a custom, solid wood frame. With a half inch space between the canvas and the frame, the three dimensional look of the canvas is left intact with no need for matting or glass.
Frames
Perfect photographs look better in perfect frames. From my experience traveling around selling my fine art images to customers, I have a number of reputable framing vendors (like Custom Framing by Maura!) at my service to help make your photographs even better. I know, I know… Michael’s always has that coupon in the paper for discount framing, but these are important photographs and they deserve the hands of someone who will take a personal interest in your decisions in order to provide you with valuable advice and personalized customer service.
Slideshow DVDs
You’ve seen ‘em. They make you cry every time. Slideshow DVDs are wonderful gift ideas, and they’re nice to have around on those rainy days after you’ve finished watching everything on TiVo. The slideshow is a playable DVD presentation created with 60-150 of your photographs, which is set to music and includes transitions. The slideshow runs approximately 6-15 minutes.
