Here are some recent photographs from Rachel and Nick’s Back Bay engagement session in Virginia Beach. After a mini heatwave and several days of rain, we were treated to a pleasant spring afternoon just south of Sandbridge.
Back Bay was surprisingly quiet for such a beautiful day, with only a few kayakers and fishermen dotting the shoreline. It was a refreshing experience to be able to leisurely enjoy the natural wildlife and foliage without shuffling through the normal crowds of visitors!
Rachel, Nick and I began our evening meandering through the sea oats before making our way to the deserted beach for a few images beside the crashing waves. As we walked our way back through the brisk evening air, we were treated to a perfect Back Bay sunset over the dunes and Shipps Bay.
In addition to these digital images, I brought along my trusty Contax 645 medium format film camera and shot some of their engagement session on film.
Thanks so much for your enthusiasm, Rachel and Nick. I can’t wait for your big day!
