Rain on your wedding day is supposedly good luck. So can you imagine the good fortune Tonya and John can expect after Hurricane Sandy decided to drench their wedding day at the Botanical Garden? π
Tonya and John originally planned to hold their ceremony at the Norfolk Botanical Garden’s Renaissance Court. On most days, Renaissance Court is one of the most elegant backdrops for a wedding in all of Hampton Roads. On Tonya & John’s wedding day, however, Hurricane Sandy had transformed it into a rainy, windy mess. :\
Planning a wedding is difficult enough, but to have everything change last minute is a true test of patience and strength. Thankfully, Tonya and John are rock solid, and despite the shift in times, locations, and several other details, both the couple and their guests were committed to making the day an event to remember. And a few days later, once the storm had passed, we defiantly headed back out to the Garden and created the photographs we couldn’t take on the wedding day.
Thanks to all the vendors who selflessly put their own hurricane concerns aside in order to come together and provide Tonya and John the wedding they deserved.
