Here are some recent photos from Rachel & Ben’s engagement portrait session in Virginia Beach. The fall weather had all sorts of opinions about how the experience should go, but we eventually triumphed over the crazy elements.
Our engagement session began with the eerie realization that a blanket of fog was forming off in the distance of Back Bay. Sure enough, halfway through, the fog and mist descended and we couldn’t see 10 feet in front of us. I’ve had hurricanes and snow and rain try to disrupt photos before, but this was a first for fog.
No problem. A simple re-schedule! Ah, but that’s where the fun begins. Every reshoot date we picked was plagued with rain. Not just drizzle; crazy buckets of rain. In no time, it was Christmas and our late summer/early fall session was getting into winter territory. Fortunately, our final makeup date turned out to be a delightful day, and we were able to leave the coats and scarves in the car to enjoy a very pleasant afternoon out in the wildlife refuge.
