Golden sits at the base of the foothills where the plains give way to the Rockies. For J&M, it was the place that brought them together.
Atop Lookout Mountain
Lookout Mountain offers views across the plains to the east and the Continental Divide to the west. We explored trails near the summit to contrast our imagery from downtown.

The overlook frames Golden and the surrounding valley in a single view. Pine forests line the trails, offering quieter moments between the commanding vistas.
Where the Foothills Begin
Our afternoon concluded on a ridge framed by ponderosa pines as the sun dipped behind the ridgeline.
