An Intimate Island Celebration in the Mountains of St. Lucia
K&B celebrated their summer destination wedding at Ladera Resort in Soufriere, St. Lucia. The day began with misty mountain views and laughter that echoed through the valley. From the rainforest canopy to the sweeping Piton views, Ladera provides a front row seat to the natural splendor for which St. Lucia is known.
The day began in the resort’s iconic open-air suites, where the breeze carried scents of tropical florals and the hummingbirds chased each other around the trumpet vines. The morning felt as relaxed and unhurried as you’d hope for on your wedding day in paradise. My favorite part might have been the light, fleeting showers that drifted in and out throughout the morning. Each offered a brief and gentle reminder of the natural beauty surrounding us.
The ceremony took place at Paradise Ridge, the resort’s highest point, with friends and family gathered at the summit.
With clouds drifting through the peaks and the sea stretching out below, the couple’s vows and the guests’ cheers became part of the natural symphony.
The reception began as the sun dipped low, with steel drums, rum punch, and dinner at the resort’s celebrated Dasheene restaurant. Perched 1,000 feet above the Caribbean Sea, Dasheene pairs awe-inspiring views of the Pitons with farm-to-table dishes and modern takes on St. Lucian classics. It was the perfect setting to connect with loved ones and toast the newlyweds.
